BMW X5: Fog Lights, Auxiliary
REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT FRONT FOG LAMP
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove left grille in bumper trim.
Grasp grille through opening.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2).
Slide fog light (3) slightly towards center of vehicle and remove towards rear.

Replacement:
- If necessary, remove bulb.
- Adjust fog lamps.

Rear light in side panel:
Remove flap in luggage compartment trim panel.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove rear spoiler.
Release screws (1).
Lift auxiliary brake light (2) in direction of arrow from rear spoiler

PLATE LIGHT
Special tools required:
64 1 020.
WARNING: Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior
lights).

Although, the N54 engine has an all aluminum crankcase, many of the bolts are
still aluminum as on the N52.
This is to reduce any potential confusion between steel and aluminum bolts.

necessary after reinstallation to carry out a wheel/chassis alignment check.

Tension coil spring (and leave on vehicle).
