Before disconnecting battery:
Turn off the ignition and other electrical loads/consumers to prevent
sparking when reconnecting.
NOTE: If the

Preparation:
Conform with the following when starting engine with starting cable.
Ensure that jump lead wires are to appropriate cross-section s
IMPORTANT: Only repair those cables which show visible signs of damage.
In the event of
visible damage, make sure there is only one cable repair in effect after the
repair work. If no visible damage
IMPORTANT: After completing work, check gear oil level, see
Replenishing /Changing
Transfer Case Oil (ATC 700) and top up if necessary.
Use only the approved gear oil in this transfer box.
NOTE:
Operations for removing output flange are identical to replacing
radial
shaft seal.
