Replacing Rear Axle Carrier

Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove rear differential.
Remove rear axle carrier and if necessary with other workers assisting
set down on a suitable surface.
Remove bra
Lowering/Raising Rear Axle Carrier (Special Tool SWZ00-2040)
Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:
Mount securing fixture for vehicle on lifting platform
Remove rear wheels

Read contents of Body, General.
Spot-weld bonding is used on this vehicle. Observe specific procedure.
Remove or cover those vehicle components in the repair area which are
susceptible to heat or dust.
Use only approved spot-welding apparatus for repairs!
Following new body parts are required:
Replacing Rear Left Or Right Thrust Bearing For Spring Strut/Shock
Absorber
Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove rear shock absorber.
Unscrew nut (1).
Remove joint disc (2), support bearing upper section (3) and support bearing
flange (4).
Installation:
Insert support bearing upper section (3) correctly in support bearing flange
(4).
Replace self-locking nut.
Tighten
