BMW X5: Front Axle Suspension

REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REINFORCEMENT PLATE

IMPORTANT: Observe safety when raising the vehicle.

Driving without reinforcement plate is not permitted!

Release bolts (1) for assembly underside protection at front.

Release bolts (2).

Remove reinforcement plate (3).

Installation:

Replace screws.

Tightening torque.

REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING FRONT ASSEMBLY UNDERSIDE PROTECTION

Release screws (1).

Pull forward assembly underside protection (2) under bumper trim (3) and remove.

Installation:

Center underside protection (2) and tighten down screws (1).

REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION

Release screws (1) and remove underbody protection (2).

Installation:

Center underside protection (2) and tighten down screws (1).
