Rear light in side panel:
Remove flap in luggage compartment trim panel.
Turn socket housing and pull out of rear light.

Work on the entire xenon lighting system (ignition unit, control unit and
lamp) may only be carried out by specialist personnel.

Rear light in side panel:
Remove flap in luggage compartment trim panel.
Turn socket housing and pull out of rear light.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
Check wheel control joints of tension struts while installed, replace
tension struts if necessary.
Remove tension struts.
Using a press and special tools 33 3 322 and 31 3 032 , press rubber mount
out of tension strut
Air Conditioner Refrigerant
FREON
The refrigerant Freon R12 is used in most BMW automobiles with an air
conditioner up through the 1992
model year. It has a boiling point of - 29.8ºC (sea level), at which the
refrigerant is transformed from a liquid
into a gaseous state. This boiling point, however, is not constant. It is
